Little Progess is Made Without Forgiveness

I am learning that with the decision-the willingness to forgive-there opens doors of love that were locked. Forgiveness has not been easy for me. I found that my previous "christian" teaching on forgiveness made it impossible to actually love anyone who hurt me. I was guilt ridden every time I tried to forgive because the negative feelings would always return and I was holding to the belief that I had not truly forgiven those with whom I needed to pardon because the negative feelings were still raging inside my heart. With the Course I have learned that just to be willing is enough because along with the willingness there comes understanding that the one you are forgiving that you percieve to be on the outside of you - is actually you... ME. I am amazed at this beauty because it truly is setting me free in more ways than one.
