When faced with fear, I want to run. I want to hide. I want to pull the blankets over my head and hold my breath until it passes. I try to numb the sensation of fear; drown out its overwhelming voice.
But I can’t.
I turn and face the fear, greet it, look at it full in the face and say, “I know you are there.” This action alone affords tremendous relief. It quells that…

In our latest interview, I got to dish about A Course in Miracles, writing, and business with one of my favorite people. Okay, I’m a little bit biased, as this person happens to be my sister! She has always been an inspiration to me, and I’m excited to share her journey with you all!
Yancy is the creator of her own “organic bath and body & underground herbal…

Willingness.
As a student of A Course in Miracles, the concept of willingness comes up a lot. Today, I learned how truly valuable it can be. I also learned how maintaining a constant state of willingness prepares us to be miracle workers in situations we cannot foresee or even know of. It brings to mind my absolute favorite…

God is Reality; this is a rather sweeping statement, but it's also true. People came to this physical experience to explore the idea of guilt in all its various forms. Physicality is born of our thinking about guilt. In Reality, all that we experience is the contents of our own thoughts. The difference is that there, in Reality, there is no guilt and therefore no suffering in our experience. We can think about anything we wish without the fear…

I am deeply honored to present the next installment in my series of interviews with students and teachers of A Course in Miracles! In today’s interview, we get to enjoy the inspired words of Stef Perkins, equine coach and forthcoming author of Soulful Horsemanship.
This interview, in itself, is a miracle in the way it came about. After I was inspired to…

ILLUSION RELEASED
Will you carry this sadness for me?
Will you pass this basket around?
Only heavy stones,
no roses grow,
and to my hands be bound.
Will you walk with me, this burden?
Will you shield me from its glare?
The darkness clings,
no light it brings,
unscathed by fervent prayer.
Will love not wing to find me?
Adrift and lost at…

Original Post.
One of my ego’s favorite ways to hook my attention has been through fears of sickness. Worrying about the health of my body has been an ego pattern that has accompanied me throughout most of my life. “The god of sickness” (which the Course says is really a belief in nothing) is something that I’ve chased and looked for my…

Proof of Heaven—do not let the title fool you that this is a Christian tome about streets of gold and pearly gates. Eben Alexander, M.D., a well-respected neurosurgeon, saw many medical cases in which patients claimed to have seen deceased loved ones or heaven. He dismissed them all as chemical processes in the brain—until he had his own near-death experience while in a seven-day coma. Alexander states that while in his coma his neo-cortex was non-functional. The only thing keeping…

My heart clutched with horror and grief when I heard about the Connecticut school shooting. I ached for the parents who lost their children, but, unable to tolerate that level of pain, I immediately surged forth with rage at political and societal factors I believed caused this tragic incident. I had plans to attend a Christmas gathering the next day and many of the attendees were of a different political persuasion than me. I found myself attacking them in my head. I hope one…

Here is a question that came from the “Ask Lorri” page of my website, www.lorricoburn.com
Hi Lorri - My question is about the world around me. Is it a group illusion or is it completely something that I have made up? What I am most concerned about is other people. I am fairly new to the Course, but not all the concepts it teaches. Is the Course saying that everything is in my head, including other people? For example did…

This is a question one of my readers asked.
Hi again. Acim and people like Gary Renard keep saying we chose our script before we dreamed all of this and I was wondering why any dream figure would choose a hard, pain and suffering filled life instead of all of us dreaming this as perfect people with perfect situations. Thank you.
Hi, Dan,
Good question. Since we are perfectly whole as Spirit, why, indeed would we dream up an illusion filled with pain and…

Let Freedom Ring
Lorri’s Miracle Musings: Vol., XII, #7
Dear Miracle Musings Readers, The United States’ Declaration of Independence teaches us freedom is the “pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.” Is that true? Yes, if you define “life, liberty and happiness” outside the box of form. A Course in Miracles teaches freedom is of the mind, and has nothing to do with form.
We can…

Lorri’s Miracle Musings, Vol. XII, #6
Many of you know that my dad recently made his transition. Yesterday we had his memorial service and I fell headlong into the ego illusion of loss and separation. I felt like I was Lorri who had lost her dad, and I despaired, unable to find my way back to Truth. It was the first family gathering we’d had since my dad passed, and the absence of his body hurt…

Come to dinner with Dr. Jon Mundy and Joe Wolfe this August 11th.
Share the fun, food and quaint humor of Jon Mundy's style of sharing the genuine message of Forgiveness as taught in A Course in Miracles. We'll laugh so hard our sides will want to split.
Joe Wolfe will reaffirm though his the personal account of his mystical Experiences, the reality of 'something' greater beyond what the body's eyes can see, that Source who walks with us, ever present and ready to…
