"The world was meant to be a place where God could enter not, and where His Son could be apart from Him."

You're secretly afraid of what's in your unconscious. That's why you have to be vigilant. There is hatred in your mind underneath the surface, but it can be released simply by noticing it when it does surface, and then taking the Holy Spirit's hand instead of the ego's. ~ The Disappearance of the Universe…

For a while now I have a theme from ACIM comes to mind at least once a day, the miracle is when it is more than once.
More than a year ago I read in The Lighthouse (The newsletter from the Foundation for A Course in Miracles) a piece "Our new years resolution" "Making it all the same". It is based on T-15.XI.11. Make…Continue
Another definitive idea in the Course would be that the guiltless mind cannot suffer. It blows the whole idea of glorifying sacrifice right out of the water. Because pain is not a physical process, it's a mental process, and if you healed all the unconscious guilt in the mind, then you couldn't feel any pain. That changes the message of the Crucifixion from the idea of worshiping suffering and sacrifice to a demonstration that if you were healed, then it would be impossible for you to feel…Continue

I have reached a point in my journey where I am asked to let go...I MEAN REALLY LET GO! I know that I have received so many miracles showing me that I can LET GO, and Let God, but I have not whole-hardheartedly taken this leap. There is a part of me that longs for control, that begs me to not let go...and I realize this is the part of me that believes I could be separate from God.
I was given a revelation of the Father's perspective and that continues to keep me on the path. Fear…Continue

To forgive means to give ahead of time. In other words, your attitude is that you're ready to forgive, no matter what it is that comes up in your awareness. At first, that seems like a tall order. Yet I promise you the day will come when you'll be capable of laughing at anything the ego throws at you - just like J could. The day will come when you'll be ready to be like J and leave the script, and serve as a light for others to follow out of the dream.

A definitive statement in the Course would be the idea that anger is never justified. If you made the whole thing up, (which you did, albeit not on this level) then who is there to be angry at? And a related definitive idea would be, 'The secret of salvation is but this: That you are doing this unto yourself.' The two ideas fit together like a hand in a glove, and once you really get them then there's no getting away from them. ~ Your Immortal Reality…

Eternal Life instead of Life After Death
Truth has no beginning and no ending. It is infinite. So questions about beginnings and endings always originate in not-Truth, are always about not-Truth, and are meant to reinforce the mistaken belief that not-Truth is True.
The guilt in your unconscious is more terrible and even more acute than what you see or feel on the surface because of you're proximity to it - it's in your unconscious. That was the reason for the whole miscreation of the universe in the first place. The need to escape your guilt and your terrible, misguided fear of God. Now you have a world of bodies where the contents of your mind, are seen symbolically as being outside of you, in the world and in other people. You get to be the innocent…Continue

Eventually the Course's thought system will be second nature to you, and you'll be able to apply it with less and less effort. Sometimes there's no thinking at all; it's just a way of being. Other times you will have to think about the Course's ideas, which reinforces your forgiving attitude. It takes the illusion of time and lot of practice to get to the point where the thought system of the Holy Spirit is just the way you are, and ultimately what you are. ~ The Disappearance of the…Continue

Here is a question a reader sent:
Question about ACIM: Hi Lorri, In Acim it is said that God did not create this world and God does not even know about this world and that Holy Spirit does not operate within this dream to help us improve it. How then can those miracles be explained which occur when \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"normal\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" religious people (not students of acim) pray for something and really unbelievable things occur as a result when God…Continue
Let’s have a little heart-to-heart, you and I. Let’s talk about who you are…who you really are.
You hear it over and over: that you are love, pure and simple. But do you believe it? Do you believe that you are one with the One? Can you embrace the idea that you are perfect, unsullied Spirit?
It’s not easy. There is a dark side that bubbles up like a cauldron of shame every now and then. It is relentless in its threats to overflow and burn all in its wake. It is insistent on…Continue

It will take time for the principles of A Course in Miracles to be understood by society, and the overwhelming majority of people will continue to believe as they always have. They'll continue to live in denial. They will try to bring God into the world and spiritualize the universe, thinking there is some kind of compassionate intelligence behind what is really a murderous thought. They will see death as a part of a "circle of life," when it is really just a symbol of the great mistake. ~…Continue

There is no world apart from what you wish, and herein lies your ultimate release. Change but your mind on what you want to see, and all the world must change accordingly. Ideas leave not their source. ~ A Course in Miracles

There are teachers who will tell you to make friends with your ego or make peace with your ego as a way of dealing with it. All that will do is keep it in place. If you practice true forgiveness, which is the only way out, then the ego isn't interested in being your colleague. As J says, you 'are threatening the ego's whole defensive system too seriously for it to bother to pretend it is your friend.' Your job is not to keep the ego in place; your job is to undo it through the dynamic of…Continue

God did not create duality and He did not create the world. If He did, He’d be the author of “a tale told by an idiot.” But God is not an idiot. He can only be one of two things. He is either perfect love, as the Bible says when it momentarily stumbles upon the truth, or He’s an idiot. You can’t have it both ways. J was no idiot either, because he was not taken in by the false universe. ~ The Disappearance of the Universe…

You don't have to wait until your experience of enlightenment before you enjoy the benefits of forgiveness. As the Course tells you, "A tranquil mind is not a little gift." ~ The Disappearance of the Universe

The experience of revelation, where God Himself silently communicates His Love to you, is beyond this world and cannot be captured with words. This experience sometimes happens to people before they are enlightened but it doesn't always happen, and people shouldn't feel slighted if it doesn't. Each one's path is unique, but the way to God always comes back to practicing forgiveness. ~ The Disappearance of the Universe…
