As far as the idea of separation from God goes, because your idea is not of God, He does not respond to it. To respond to it would be to give it reality. If God himself were to acknowledge anything except the idea of perfect oneness, there would no longer be perfect oneness. There would no longer be a perfect state of Heaven for you to return to. You never really left anyway. You're still there, but you have entered into a nightmare state of illusion. ~ Your Immortal Reality…

If I could tell him one thing, it would be this: be who you are, now. I can tell him, but not without that lingering notion that I don’t really mean it. I can tell him, but not yet without the tears in my eyes.
If I could say one last thing, it would be this: love you who are, now…right now. I can tell him, but he’s not ready. I can say the words, but he thinks me biased, blinded by preciousness.
I tell you this: I have seen unconditional love. I have held it tightly only…Continue
Maintaining the content of forgiveness in life--reflecting love in this world and releasing from guilt--will set me free from the world of illusions and form.

God did not create duality and He did not create the world. If He did, He would be the author of ‘a tale told by an idiot.’ But God is not an idiot. He can only be one of two things. He is either perfect Love, as the Bible says when it momentarily stumbles upon the truth, or He's an idiot. You can't have it both ways. ~ The Disappearance of the Universe…

The simplicity of seeing the universe as a dream, and forgiving the images your body's eyes are apparently showing you, is well summed up in one of the Workbook's explanations of forgiveness, "Forgiveness recognizes what you thought your brother did to you has not occurred. It does not pardon sins and make them real. It sees there was no sin. And in that view are all your sins forgiven."
~ The Disappearance of the Universe…
A Course in Miracles is a presentation of the absolute truth, which can be summed in just two words, God Is, but only accepted by a mind that has been prepared for it. To accept it however, requires the kind of mind training the Course gives you. Some people may not choose to be prepared in this lifetime. They want the meaning of God and the world to be open to their own ideas. That's fine if that's what they want for now. But as J asks you in his Course, 'Would God have left the meaning of…Continue

"When time stops, all problems disappear, for they are merely artifacts of a point of perception. As the Presence prevails, there is no further indentification with the body or mind. When the mind goes silent, the thought I Am also disappears, and Pure Awareness shines forth to illuminate what one is, was beyond all worlds and all universes---infinite and beyond time."
"People wonder, How does one reach this state of awareness?
"I can only share my own…Continue

Being in the now does not heal your unconscious guilt and undo the ego. True forgiveness, on the other hand, removes the blocks to the awareness of love's presence that is your natural state of being, undoing the ego completely and making it possible to remain in the eternal "always" simply because that's all that's left.

Your thoughts determine your experience of life, not what happens in your life. What happens on the level of form - how long you live, how rich or poor you are, whether or not you're faced with the challenge of heart disease, stroke, cancer, or what have you - was all determined before you ever appeared to be born. The instant you chose the ego on that metaphysical level, everything else was a done deal. That's why life here isn't fair. And don't ask why you should even bother! I just said…Continue

Gary: I have a few questions about the future, if you don't mind. I know, it's not really happening so it's not important, but you did talk about it with me last time (in The Disappearance of the Universe) so I was wondering if you would again?
Pursah: We always talk to you about the things you're interested in, Gary. That's one of the ways we make forgiveness relevant to your life. These aren't theories. They're supposed to be applied to whatever you're interested in and whatever's…Continue

Heaven is real oneness, unlike the idea of being one with the universe, or even one with the mind that is outside of time and space that made the universe. Those ideas are still seemingly outside of God. With true oneness there is only God, and there cannot ever be anything else. That's why no compromise on this idea is possible. The Course's idea of God is as lofty as it can possibly be, because it is the truth. Oneness cannot be perfect if there is anything else to be aware of. The Course…Continue

Forgiveness doesn't mean you have to give up anything on the level of form. Your psychological attachment to things (and to people and circumstances) is one of the ways your ego clings to the body and the world. That will need to be forgiven. It masks you unconscious resistance to the truth that there is no world. Most people don't want to hear that their dreams and passions are really false idols - a substitute for God and Heaven. There's nothing wrong with your dream if you understand it…Continue

When I bless the world, I learn to love myself; and likewise, when I truly love myself, I become a blessing to the world around me.

When you meet people in this lifetime whom you’ve had dealings and special hate interests with before in other lifetimes, it’s because you’re orbiting each other, just as planets orbit the sun. Because the unconscious mind has retained the memory of them, you’ll have conflict, sometimes right away and sometimes later in the relationship. In some lifetimes you'll be the victim, and in others, the victimizer. The question is, what are you going to use it for this time, freedom or bondage? Are…Continue

The concept of the self has always been the great preoccupation of the world. And everyone believes that he must find the answer to the riddle of himself. Salvation can be seen as nothing more than the escape from concepts.

I was just re-listening to lesson 155…"And now He asks but that you think of Him a while each day, that He may speak to you and tell you of His Love, reminding you how great His trust; how limitless His Love." I was wondering why I don't hear those messages of love, why I think I need and want the love of a "man" (in this case, a particular one) more than the "love of God". "Death" sometimes seems as if it will be the only release from all this emotional agony! Sigh... –…Continue
