- About me:
- Student and Teacher of ACIM; Leadership Coach and Consultant; Safety Trainer; Author of the book "Calm-Ass Leadership"; retired Fire Service Training Officer; lazy and proud of it.
- "A Course in Miracles" has helped me in these ways:
- I tried many different teachings looking for something that called to an inner knowing. I carried ACIM around for years, but every time I opened it all I saw was a foreign language. So I'd close it, frustrated, yet knowing something huge was waiting for me in those pages. One day I heard "It's time" and felt a deep peace as I opened ACIM again. Every page, every word aligned with my inner being. And I haven't been able to put it down since. And even though occasionally I want to throw it across the room, the joy and freedom I experience are worth the journey.

Julia Olsen/ the Mixie Pixie said… Yes! No one talked about these things, and I didn't know words for them, and I didn't know if those around me did or didn't have these experiences. I would bet a lot of people have" forgotten". I bet lots of children would tell us about their spiritual or altered state experiences if we asked, and if we gave them some language to use.

Allan Ramsay said… Wende, thank you for the invitation to become friends here at MS.com. I'd like to share a book with you that has been extremely helpful to me in my ACIM studies. "Mindful Loving" by Henry Grayson, PhD. He offers exercises to eliminate disturbing ego thoughts that, for me, have been very helpful. Another small book, mentioned by Kenneth Bok, is "Buddhism Plain and Simple." It's a great read and helpful.

I teach ACIM in my basement of my condo every Monday at 1:00 to at least 15- 25 people. I have seen miracles happen with this group and in myself.
