The ego is insane! I got a good glimpse of mine tonight.As I was working on some of my forgiveness work tonight with my former husband I was thinking about how his "needing" me repulsed me and made me resent him. This is totally tied into me resenting my father for "needing" my mother. I have viewed "needing" as weakness. - (from Lesson 199) I am not a body. I am free.
Other than that - I am still figuring life out...and working on forgiveness everyday, while aiming for inner peace, feeling worthy and guiltless. You know, the usual:)
- "A Course in Miracles" has helped me in these ways:
- ACIM came into my life just before some major changes in the level of form took place. I experience this classroom with the Holy Spirit. Most life changing passage: Text Ch 5 (VII) Last paragraph
" I must have decided wrongly, because I am not at peace. I made the decision myself, but I can also decide otherwise. I want to decide otherwise, because I want to be at peace. I do not feel guilty, because the Holy Spirit will undo all the consequences of my wrong decision if I will let Him. I choose to let Him, but allowing him to decide for God for me."
- Favorite Spiritual Resources (e.g. books, websites, videos, songs, etc.):
- Different ACIM related materials...and the other "spiritual" books vary with the seasons and a passing fancy for distraction.
