Dear Joe [Spirit Light Outreach]

I'm sure that you get plenty of mail from inmates writing to express thanks for the books you send out. But how can I possibly express what I feel what you you have made possible for me. I owe you my happiness and joy-how can anything re-pay you for that?

Joe, what you're doing is far more valuable than you understand. I'm sure that many of the books you send go out to people who really don't want or value them, or to people who can't understand what they're reading. Many seeds hit the ground but only a few grow into a mighty oak tree.

Gary Renard's book, [The Disappearance of tyhe Universe] is a Masterpiece! The book has opened my eyes to so much and cleared up many issues for me. Robyn's book [Robyn Buishfield, author of Forgiveness is the Home of Miracles] has also been very helpful to me in understanding that everyone has a rocky road working through the workbook [of A Course in Miracles].

I have been studying the "Course' for two years now, and it's just now really beginning to pay off. My brain feels like it's been re-wired and I'm hardly the same person who arrived in prison 30 months ago.

I want you to know that I'm fully committed to returning myself to my original wholeness and teaching and helping otherts [to] gain their freedom as well. I love you Joe- I will never forget what you made possible for me. Just know that every once in a while a real student arrives and your books become like bricks of gold- so valuable and priceless.

I'm 63 years old now and any books (the ones you sent) afre my most valuable possesions. The one life you touched thru me will go on to touch many other lives you can't even imagine. God bless you Joe- Can't wait to meet you in person.

The prayer from my lesson today is helping me more than I can say. It is from Lesson #329:

 Father, I thought I wandered from Your Will, defied it, broke its laws, and interposed a second will more powerful than Yours. Yet what I am in truth is but Your Will, extended and extending. This am I, and this will never change. As You are One, so am I one with You. And this I chose in my creation, where my will became forever one with Yours. That choice was made for all eternity. It cannot change, and be in opposition to itself. Father, my will is Yours. And I am safe, untroubled and serene, in endless joy, because it is Your Will that it be so.

Sharing the prayer from my lesson today....

Today let me give honour to Your Son, for thus alone I find the way to You. Father, I lay no limits on the Son You love and You created limitless. The honour that I give to him is Yours, and what is Yours belongs to me as well.

Haven't heard from Corinne (who lives in NJ) but knowing all is well. My lesson today is perfect too (This day I choose to spend in perfect peace). I'll share the prayer from that lesson with you all. It is helping me so much :)

 And so, my Father, would I pass this day with You. Your Son has not forgotten You. The peace You gave him still is in his mind, and it is there I choose to spend today.

Be Not Afraid

Maureen - that is a beautiful prayer - thank you for sharing it!!

Deanna - somehow I missed your post from a while ago about your mom.  It sounds like ACIM really helped you through that difficult time.  I thank God for it everyday - I think I'd be an absolute mess if I didn't have it!!
