These quotes about the body have been so helpful.  I am in the midst  of feeling so bound to my body...it occupies my every thought.  I am asking for release and declaring a willingness to see differently.  It just seems so sticky!

I like this quote: "You will not succeed in being partial hostage to the ego, for it keeps no bargains and would leave you nothing.  Nor can you be partial host to it. You must choose between total freedom and total bondage, for there are no alternatives but these."

The course says the "insignificance of the body MUST become an acceptable idea" and that health (of the mind) depends on our acceptance of the body as totally apart from mind...

L.158.  I am mind, in (God's) Mind and purely mind... sinless forever wholly unafraid..this is given as knowledge which you cannot lose...given to every living thing. because we are created out of (eternal) love (not the limited form of the body and its so-called life span). Love it!

I recently had a minor injury that kinda knocked me for a loop. I opened my lesson the next morning, and there it was, "I AM NOT A BODY. I AM FREE."

Yes. The body doesn't "do" anything. It's like a computer doesn't do anything except what it's programed for. Lessons 201 all the way to 220 remind us that "I am not body."

@Joe: when I read this "The body cannot know. And while you limit your awareness to its tiny senses, you will not see the grandeur that surrounds you" I felt like a shiver down my entire body and instantly Knew that the actual problem is this very limiting of our awareness. AMAZING quote.
