About Gary R. Renard

Gary R. Renard, the best-selling author of The Disappearance of the Universe and Your Immortal Reality, was born on the historic North Shore of Massachusetts. He became a successful professional guitar player, but during the harmonic convergence of 1987, he heard a Calling and began to take his life in a different direction. At the beginning of the 1990’s, he moved to Maine, where he underwent a powerful spiritual awakening. As instructed, he slowly and carefully wrote Disappearance over a period of nine years. @Deborah Roberts--Thanks for recommending P.K. Nesbit's book Heal Yourself with Peace! I just got it and have been loving it so far! His writing style is so simple and beautiful and so very helpful to me on my journey.

Has anyone read "my stroke of insight" by Jill Bolte Taylor? She tells the story of right mindedness from a different perspective. It's amazing.

I happened to come upon a book that I think has been out for a while that I've been aware of, but haven't really been drawn to read it. It's from HayHouse and Wayne Dyer wrote the forward for it. I'm a bit weart of Dyer's endorsements, as he seems to endorse anything now days, but I was browsing through the library and saw it, so I thought, "What the heck."

  It's called "Dying to Be Me." I don't know if it was exactly course related, but the way she talked about interconnectedness and Oneness after her NDE experience seemed to have some similarities to ACIM. It was an OK read. Interesting to hear of her experiences with medical documentation to back it up. Supposedly, her experience drew some prominent medical doctors who found her case file extraordinary.

Two new books I thought you would like to know about: "Heal Yourself with Peace" by P.K. Nesbit - the FIP ACIM Czech translator and "Our Timeless Year" by Bev Hamilton. This book is about Bev's experience with her husband in his last year diagnosed with dementia, their application of the Course is integrated into their story. I was in the bookstore the other day and saw this book again. The book "Proof of Heaven". There were a couple of other books next to it. One I think called, To Heaven and Back, authored by another M.D. and another one authored by a kid who talks of his own experience.

Yes, thank goodness for mp3 files! It makes it so much easier for me to also make playlists of ACIM sections. Could you imagine the hassle of doing that with tapes? Oh wait, I remember the hassle of doing that with tapes, LOL

Eric - I still had my complete set of ACIM on cassette until I recently gave it away to someone with a tape deck!! Somehow, despite living in my car for years and enduring hot summers and cold winters, they have still survived (though the case is pretty broken).  Thank goodness for mp3 files! :)
