Be Not Afraid

You shall cross the barren desert, but shall not die of thirst. You shall wander far in saftey though you know not The Way. You shall speak your words in foreign lands and all will understand. You shall see the Face of God and live.

Dear Mr Wolfe,

I've been incarcerated for over ten years and yet have just seen the Freedom Inside Newsletter for the first time. Though I had heard of it, I falsely assumed it was a Christian fundamentalist kind of publication, but was pleasantly surprised on discovering my mistake.

[NOTE] Freedom Inside is the monthly prisoner newsletter published by Janine Canton who supplies me with the names and contact info of many, many prisoners.

Yet even more so, I was stunned to see your offer. In recent years I've managed to acquire major book donations from the Theosophical Society, The Syda Foundation, The Word Foundation and Ram's School of Enlightenment....

I lack outside financial support, so I have hustled, scraped, saved and sacrificed for every other book in my possession, from works by M.P. Hall, to Urantia, Lawrence Gardner and Carlos Castenada. As a result, in my humble opinion, I have out-done the instutition's libraries for quality to the same extent as they out-do me in quantity.

I confess that I have never heard of many of your (book) recomendations (a testament to my limited resources) but with A Course in Miracles in the first spot (which I recently completed and restared) and books like E. Tolle, I knew that you and I are on the same page.

For several years I've kept my ear to the ground for The Disappearance of the Universe, after another inmate once described it to me.  would truley appreciate a copy of itand I assure you, like the rest of my books, I will share it with others.

Also, if it's not too much, I'd be honored if you'd pick one other book for me that you feel is most advanced....I find application in every book I read but I need something that might guide me on the final last giant step to 'the other side.'

I'm so close. A Course in Miracles helped by pointing out what I'm still clinging to, that's holding me back...(Giving value to the valueless...to the form and appearances that people, places and events in my life's distractions....the meaningless.

But I have ripped the veil away and collapsed this world on numerous occations; I've traveled to other worlds, I've seen this one through the eyes of real Love, free of fear. I've experienced myself as the Luminous Being that I am...and yet, here I am. I can't hold on to what I am. I only maintain the realization that I have indeed imprisoned myself in hell when the Kingdom of Heaven is right here in our midst.

Thank you for your dedication to true freedom.

Evelyn K. Miller, a prisoner in Chowcilla California sent me this along with a letter of gratitude for books received:

Potato Chips

A little boy wanted to meet God. he knew it was a long trip to where God lived. So he packed his suitcase with a bag of potato chips and a six-pack of root beer and started on his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his rootbeer when he noticed that the oldlady looked hungry, so he offered her some chips. She gratefully accepted them and smiled at him.

Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again so he offered her a rootbeer. Again she smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but never saying a word.

As twilight approached the boy realized how tired he was and he up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps he turned around and ran back to the old woman and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever!

When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later his mother was surprised by the look of Joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!"

Meanwhile the old woman, also radiant with Joy returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of Peace on her face and asked, "Mother, what did you do today to make you so happy?" She replied, "I ate potato chips in the park with God." Before her son could respond she added, "You know, He's much younger that I expected."

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word or listening ear, an honest act of caring...all of which have the pwer to turn lives around. Have lunch with God. Bring chips:-)

Dear Gary,

I received the books today. Thank you with all of my heart!!! [Copies of The Disappearance of the Universe] I once told you that for two years while driving to and from work, I listened to the two CD set you did with Sounds True entitled The End of Reincarnation.

That message was the motivation for me to pick up the Course and begin to practice. That was in 2006-7. Just before that I'd been hosting my own New Spiruality group, whose members (attendees) were largely responsible for the introduction to your works and A Course in Miracles.

My ministry to deliver inspirational books to prisoners began before finding the Course,but it propelled and expanded to an overwhelimg degree, (far beyond my own expectations) as soon as I began to deliver your message...the message that I've come to embrace as the milestone for introduction and understanding to the Reality of Who and Where we really are.

Thank you brother...I'm honored to know you. Our brothers in prison will have the gift you share. And it is from these ranks, prisoners, wollowing in a sea of apathy, regret and remorse where a new seed will be planted...a whole new way of looking at the world they perceive...a way out...an escape from the cycle of birth and death and the doorway to eternal Love, Light and The Peace of God,

Since 2006 I've benn delivering inspirational books to prisoners. Back then I used to receive an average of two letters per month from prisoners requesting certain books. Today that number has grown by leaps and bounds, increasing every month.

Good idea, Joe. My experience with politicians is that they usually start out with high hopes of helping people and making a difference. Once met with the reality of the world, they either quit or get resigned to become like the world. Your book will hopefully bring him some hope. And have a WONDERFUL time in Texas with The Five Signs. Hugs. W
