Other than the obvious, used book stores and garage sales, I was once able to purchase a dozen "seconds"(slightly irregular covers, stained, bent cover page, etc.) of Power vs. Force directly from Veritas. You might try emailing them directly and see if they have any 'seconds' on hand. An email in the vein of the comment you posted would be useful to set the context for the inquiry. I host a prison ministry. I receive many requests for Doc''s books. I met Dr. Hawkins seven years ago on stage where he autographed some of his books for me. I lived in a house right down the road from his ranch.

His message to me was simple and to the point: "Pick an integrious spiritual discipline and stick to it." Then he recommended I study A Course in Miracles. It's been a big part of my life ever since, and now for some years, I deliver it to prisoners.

Many of them request Doc's books, which I've been unable to acquire in any numbers necessary to satisfy the requests. If you know of a source, the books can be slightly damaged or used, but paperbacks only...I would appreciate any help in this matter.

I especially recommend his books "Power vs Force", "I - Reality and Subjectivity" and "Transcending the Levels of Consciousness". It might also be described as transcending levels of the ego illusion.

Comment by Manfred Luck on March 8, 2012 at 6:30am: Good to find this group.Came along at the right time.I'd done about 60 lessons of ACIM about 20years ago and then dropped it. 4 years ago I found Dr Hawkins ( Shorty) which was the beginning of a great love affair that recontextualized every aspect of my life. ACIM made sense and I spent 3 years doing the lessons, God is OK now, conspiracy theories are entertaining BS, and with muscle testing I can now tell what's true from what's false. Sometimes I just get overwhelmed with gratitude.Someone recently pointed me towards You Tube "Sedona Method David Hawkins " which shows David talking about the simplicity and profound power of the method. It's now become the main spiritual tool that I use.
